Ok, here's the script. This group is about sharing of knowledge and helping fellow buckle collectors. It is not for profiteering. @george feindel posted a Postchutz buckle here for sale for $850 whereas it was on his dealer website for $500. He was questioned about it, had the chance to explain or adjust, he did not. That really goes against the spirit of this group, it is NOT acceptable... @george feindelis no longer welcome here. Also banned from our FB group too...

People often ask me, why did you call your group Got Mittens? Well, here’s the reason why...

Should there be a topic / forum on here for any dodgy or fake sales that are spotted to warn everyone not to buy? Just wondering as that would be useful to us newbies who could possibly get stung by unscrupulous dealers.

Definetly a place for it, let me think where though...

I think we should start threads or sub-forums for Lufty Monday, SAturday, SSunday, etc. where we can post random photos of our collection that don't deserve an own thread? My contribution for LUFTschutz monday:

Sigh, I've been removed from Facebook again, I can't be arsed with this anymore. They won't tell me what I posted, when I posted it, but I never show swastikas etc... Anyway, looks like I'm back here to stay...

Gary was a great guy, moderator for Got Mittens, friend, collector and all round good guy. Sadly, died Feb 2019, taken far too soon. RIP mate, will raise a glass to you tonight and think about all the good natured banter we shared online.

Yeah, it's a complete pain. The forum is so much better, but hardly anyone will use it. FB has made us all lazy...

He was supposed to go to the SOS that year and we were going to meet up there. He wanted me to bring him a large bottle of Louisiana hot sauce for him to take back with him. Definitely miss our talks.

Have they given a reason for the takedown? Just asking as I’m in a couple of German Bayonet groups on FB and they appear to have been running for ages, and don’t get shut down?!?
