People often ask me, why did you call your group Got Mittens? Well, here’s the reason why...

Gary was a great guy, moderator for Got Mittens, friend, collector and all round good guy. Sadly, died Feb 2019, taken far too soon. RIP mate, will raise a glass to you tonight and think about all the good natured banter we shared online.

Ok, here's the script. This group is about sharing of knowledge and helping fellow buckle collectors. It is not for profiteering. @george feindel posted a Postchutz buckle here for sale for $850 whereas it was on his dealer website for $500. He was questioned about it, had the chance to explain or adjust, he did not. That really goes against the spirit of this group, it is NOT acceptable... @george feindelis no longer welcome here. Also banned from our FB group too...

Should there be a topic / forum on here for any dodgy or fake sales that are spotted to warn everyone not to buy? Just wondering as that would be useful to us newbies who could possibly get stung by unscrupulous dealers.

Good call Lenny, it did seem predatory at first glance, but to add insult to injury, the buckle did not justify the cost, and the inflated pricing was the last straw, as they say.. It's almost like going into a bar to rob the patrons, and unbeknownst to the crook, it is a Police after work hangout, that doesn't work out to well..

How do I start a buckle-pictures databank ? Per categorie ? Marc

I'm open to ideas on this. There is a paid plugin which creates decent photo galeries in here, so we could have a gallery for Imperials, one for Heers etc. The M4 codes, would be good to have a reference area for this sort of data, thoughts?
